Fully Automatic Turntable for Vinyl Enthusiasts - Pro-Ject Automat A1 in Black

The A1 turntable is the latest addition to our Automat Line, a completely new series we have introduced. Since our establishment in 1991, our mission has been to bring high-fidelity stereo music enjoyment to as many people as possible. We are delighted to expand our product catalog with this fully automatic entry-level turntable.

At the heart of the A1 is an 8.3" ultra-light-mass aluminium tonearm. Paired with the OM10 cartridge, which perfectly complements this design principle, the A1 delivers extraordinary fast response and exceptional detail in terms of transients and microdynamics. Tracking force and anti-skating are factory pre-adjusted for optimal performance.

The OM series of cartridges have their developmental roots and legacy in ultra-light-mass tonearm designs. This little-known fact makes the OM10, pre-fitted and adjusted in our factory, the perfect partner for your A1 turntable.

The headshell is made of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer, which is super stable and rigid, while keeping the weight exceptionally low. This composite material results in excellent internal damping of resonances.

The chassis of the A1 avoids hollow spaces wherever possible, with just enough space to precision-fit all the inner workings. As a result, the chassis' heavy mass reduces unwanted resonances to a minimum.

The damping ring on the inside of the platter adds weight and reduces resonances. In the final step, the platter is turned and precision-balanced to achieve its fine edges and lowest wow and flutter deviations.

To ensure a perfect connection to your amplifier, we use a high-quality phono RCA cable. Our Connect it E is a semi-balanced, low-capacitance cable with superior shielding.

If your current Hi-Fi setup does not have a phono preamplifier, you will benefit from the A1's built-in one. If you prefer to use another phono preamp, you can easily switch it off.

No need to change the belt position – the A1 allows you to easily switch between 33 and 45 RPM with the push of a single button, so you can enjoy both your favorite LPs and singles.

The A1 is fully handmade in Germany, drawing on decades of experience. Paired with Pro-Ject's cutting-edge technology, it sets new standards in automatic turntable design.
